FAQs And Retailer guide

1) What materials are used for your frames?

We build all our frames using premium hardwoods such as Soft Maple and Aspen/Poplar, sourced for strength and durability. Every piece is kiln-dried to prevent warping, cracking, or shrinkage over time. We also strategically use engineered OSB board in non-load-bearing areas where it enhances stability and reduces unnecessary weight — ensuring both long-lasting performance and optimal cost efficiency.

2) Are your frames kiln-dried? What is the typical joinery method used?

Yes — all hardwood we use is kiln-dried to the ideal moisture content, ensuring maximum stability in any climate. Our frames are assembled using a combination of double-dowel, corner block, and glue-reinforced joinery for superior structural integrity. Stress points are additionally secured with screws and metal brackets where appropriate, so each frame is built to withstand years of use in both residential and commercial settings. Every frame passes a multi-point quality check before upholstery begins.

3) What support systems do you use (e.g., sinuous springs, webbing, eight-way hand-tied)?

We primarily use high-gauge sinuous (no-sag) springs in most of our designs to provide consistent, long-lasting comfort and support. These are carefully spaced and hand-secured to ensure durability and prevent sagging over time. In certain unique or custom designs, we incorporate premium elastic webbing to achieve specific comfort profiles or design requirements — especially in contemporary and low-profile styles where flexibility and lighter weight are preferred. Every support system is individually calibrated and tested to ensure the right balance of comfort, longevity, and structural integrity.

4) Can you share details about cushion construction (e.g., foam density, fill type, core layering)?

We use high-resiliency polyurethane foam cores in all our seat cushions, specifically chosen for lasting comfort, shape retention, and durability. Our most common foam densities range from 1.7 to 1.9 lbs per cubic foot, with grades such as: 1836 (1.7–1.8 foam density) – Foam Grade: C36175WT; 1939 (1.8–1.9 foam density) – Foam Grade: CZ43185WT; 1927 (1.8–1.9 foam density) – Foam Grade: CZ31185WT. Each foam core is encased in a layer of poly-fibre wrap to provide a softer, more luxurious initial sit while protecting the foam from wear. Back cushions are generously filled with high-loft poly fill for plush comfort and easy maintenance. Where design and comfort requirements call for it, we offer custom comfort upgrades — such as feather/down blends, gel-infused foam, or multi-layer construction — allowing our retail partners to offer tailored comfort levels to their customers.

5) Fabric & Upholstery – Do you offer performance fabrics? If so, from which mills or suppliers?

Yes — we offer a wide range of performance fabrics from respected mills and suppliers, including Wovetex Mills, Ennis Fabrics, and Master Fabrics. We also work with Elite Textiles and Evergreen Fabrics to provide diverse textures, colors, and performance levels. We maintain relationships with nearly all major upholstery suppliers in Canada, allowing us to source specific fabrics upon request — whether for performance, luxury, or unique custom applications.

6) What is the fabric warranty period and what does it cover?

Our standard fabric warranty is 1 year, covering manufacturing defects such as flaws in weaving, dye inconsistencies, or premature fabric failure under normal residential use. This warranty does not cover stains, rips, tears, pilling, fading from sunlight, or any damage caused by customer use, cleaning chemicals, or improper maintenance. We also work closely with mills that offer extended performance fabric warranties, which can be applied to specific fabrics if requested.

7) Are COM (Customer’s Own Material) options available?

Yes — we proudly offer Customer’s Own Material (COM) options for clients who wish to supply their own fabric or leather. Our team will inspect and test all COM materials before production to ensure they meet performance and safety standards, and we can provide guidance on yardage requirements and suitability for the selected design. This allows our retail partners to offer exclusive, one-of-a-kind pieces tailored to their customers’ exact preferences.

8) What stain resistance or cleanability features are available?

We offer a wide selection of performance fabrics with built-in stain resistance, moisture repellency, and easy-clean technology. Options include: Crypton® and Aquaclean® fabrics with advanced barrier protection; Teflon®-treated and Nano-technology finishes for liquid and soil repellence; washable and bleach-cleanable fabrics for high-traffic or commercial settings. We can also apply aftermarket protective treatments to most fabrics upon request.

9) Warranties & After-Sale Support – What is your warranty coverage for frames, suspension, cushions, and fabric?
